Driving Here

The LG Arena is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre; its central location ensures it is at the hub of the UK motorway network. Visitors from any direction can travel to The NEC site directly using the following motorways - M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42.

The NEC is signposted on motorways and major roads and is marked on most good maps. If you are travelling by car, we recommend that you allow plenty of time for your journey. For live traffic updates, visit the Highways Agency website here

M6 Toll

As a free flowing alternative to the M6, the M6 Toll offers reliably shorter journey times through the West Midlands. It runs between Junctions 3A and 11A of the M6, and there is easy access to the NEC/LG ARENA via the M6toll / M42.

Using Sat Nav

If you are using a satellite navigation system please enter the postcode B40 1NT to pinpoint us. Please be aware that the Sat Nav system will not direct you into an onsite car park. Please follow the clearly signposted directions once in the vicinity of the venue.

Car Parking

The NEC site has numerous car parks that are broadly categorised into North, East, South and West. All in all there are over 20,000 parking spaces on site. On your arrival at the NEC, please follow directional signage to the Arena, which will lead you to the most convenient parking area for the event. Being such a large site with a number of entrances, however it is recommended that you refer to the NEC site map (enclosed on ticket wallet) before your arrival to avoid adding time to your journey. Typically, for events at the LG Arena, visitors will be parked on the South, East and West car parks. Please note that parking areas are subject to availability and other NEC site activity.

Getting from Car Parks to LG Arena

If you have difficulty walking, we would suggest you park on the East car parks, where a shuttle bus service will be provided to and from the Arena. Most buses include a wheelchair space. There is no shuttle bus service provided for visitors parked on the South and West car parks, so we would only advise visitors who are happy to walk to the venue to park here.
Please see below the approximate walking distances from each car park to the Arena:
South car parks are between 130 and 455 metres away from the Arena main entrance.
West car parks are 830 metres away.
East car parks are between 1010 and 1,400 metres away.

Disabled Car Parking

The NEC site has designated car park spaces for visitors with disabilities. All vehicles displaying blue badges will incur no car parking charges. Please head to Gate 2 on arrival, where you be directed to a suitable car parking area.

Temporary Disabilities

If you have a temporary disability such as a broken leg, we strongly advise you to contact the venue in advance with your vehicle details so that we can make arrangements to include you in our disabled parking area. Please contact info@necgroup.co.uk

Wheelchair Hire

If you need a wheelchair and have your own, please bring it with you. We only have a very limited number of manual wheelchairs available for hire free of charge. We strongly advise visitors to pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment by telephoning 0121 200 2000 ext 47106. For any visitors who do not pre-book, remaining stock will be issued on a first come first served basis. Certain restrictions apply, please ask at time of booking. Please note that wheelchairs are for use inside the venue only.

Pick Up and Drop Off

If you have a friend or family member bringing you to and collecting you from the Arena, they need to head for South 5 car park on arrival, where a Traffic Officer will give them details of where and when to collect you at the end of the show. Please note that due to the sheer numbers of people on site, it is not possible for pick ups and drop offs to take place outside the Main Entrance door. If your driver is staying on site, facilities may be available for them to use in Forumlive (our main entrance foyer) once the main act has gone on stage. This is subject to availability and not always possible. Please ask staff on arrival for approximate timings and availability.

Ticket Collection

Due to redevelopment work at the LG Arena, it is recommended that visitors travelling by car, who need to collect tickets from the box office at the LG Arena, should park on the south or east car parks.

Car Parking Charges

Unless stated otherwise the cost of parking in an onsite car parking space is £8.

Car Parking charges are dependent upon the event you are attending, please check the
What's On section on this website for more detailed information.
