The biggest touring classical artist in the world, tours the UK for the first time...EVER!
Having topped the Billboard Hot Tour rankings with his sold-out World Stadium Tour in 2009, the Dutch violinist and conductor brings his spectacular production to the UK for the first time.
Kicking off at London’s O2 Arena on 22 September, Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra, Choir and soloists, will visit arenas in Birmingham, Dublin, Belfast, Manchester and Newcastle.
A musical phenomenon, André Rieu is unlike anything else in the entertainment world. Music fans can expect the experience of a lifetime when they attend the only classical concerts where the audience jump to their feet and dance in the aisles.
Having already created an international revival in waltz music with his spellbinding musical extravaganzas, André Rieu very quickly won the hearts of the British public with the release of his album ‘Forever Vienna’ which smashed chart records by reaching No.2 of the UK Pop Charts as well as going straight in at No.1 of the Classical Charts.
At last, fans across the country can see for themselves just why André Rieu is the biggest solo male touring artist in the world. Conducting the Johann Strauss Orchestra with his violin bow – just like the composer himself – Rieu’s onstage charisma and rock-star demeanour make his live shows simply irresistible.
