Boyzone fans are today greeted with the news that they have been waiting in anticipation for since word started rumbling that a tour may be on the horizon……Boyzone will officially be back on the road in February 2011 with a full UK tour. As they celebrate their recent Number 1 album, Brother (the sixth album of their seventeen year career) the Boyz are hugely excited to finally be looking forward to this new chapter in Boyzone’s ongoing story by announcing 12 UK dates, including a show at the LG Arena, Birmingham on Wednesday March 2nd.

Tickets priced £35.50 plus booking and transaction fees can be bought online at theticketfactory.com or by calling The Ticket Factory on 0844 338 8000.

Said Ronan, ‘There was a time there when the lads and I didn’t know whether we would ever get back up on stage together again - we just didn’t know if we could do it as a four-piece.  We played three tracks live at the Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago and the reception was just unbelievable.  We all came off stage buzzing, knowing that we had the full support of the fans and it all just suddenly felt so right.  We can’t wait to get back on the road together.’

Boyzone last toured in the spring/summer of 2009 with their sell-out Better Tour.

The Brother Tour promises to be even bigger and better and will include tracks such as the Top Ten single Gave It All Away and fan’s favourite, Love Is A Hurricane, both taken from the Number 1 album, Brother.  They will sit alongside classics such as Picture Of You, Love Me For A Reason, No Matter What as well as a few surprises along the way.

Last night The UK tuned in to see Boyzone: Life After Stephen on ITV2; a documentary charting the difficult journey of Ronan, Keith, Mikey and Shane as they came to terms with the loss of their dear friend and band mate, Stephen Gately.  Previous to that, on ITV1, Boyzone: A Tribute To Stephen Gately aired as an hour-long special featuring the Boyz performing with special guests including Westlife, Nadine Coyle and Mika, as they all shared special memories of their sadly lost and much missed friend.

After the success of Boyzone’s new album, 2010 looks set to be a very busy year for the new foursome with more singles to follow, international markets to visit and this 12 date tour for the beginning of 2011.
