JAY-Z is nominated for two Brit Awards at this year’s ceremony, taking place at Earls Court Arena on 16 February. The Empire State Of Mind hit-maker is nominated in the Best Male Solo Artist category and Best International Album for the critically acclaimed - THE BLUEPRINT 3, featuring the UK chart-topping ‘Run This Town’ with Rihanna and Kanye West and the phenomenal smash hits, ‘Empire State Of Mind’ and ‘D.O.A(Death Of Auto-Tune). All this comes hot on the heels from winning an MTV European Music Award for Best Urban Act as well as notching up 3 Grammy Awards at this year's ceremony in LA.

Last year, the multiple award winner brought his incredible live show to British shores for a string of dates joining Coldplay, as well as record-breaking, sell-out shows at London’s Roundhouse and Alexandra Palace (the latter is nominated at this year’s NME Awards for Best Live Event).

In America, THE BLUEPRINT 3 debuted at the top of the Billboard chart selling over 475,000 copies in the first week. With that grand entry, his 11th chart-topper, JAY-Z surpassed Elvis Presley as the solo act with the most # 1 albums in the history of Billboard.
