Event Review - 11 Dec 2013
From the moment they entered, making their way from the back of the Arena through thousands of screaming fans, JLS set the bar for what was to be a show-stopping and entertaining evening. Opening with ‘Hottest Girl In The World’, accompanied by a live band and backing dancers, the atmosphere was through the roof.
The screams were deafening as the band talked about the JLS early years, in which they then took us on a ‘trip down memory lane’, singing their personal favourite JLS songs, and reminiscing about their favourite moments.
Playing favourites such as ‘One Shot’, ‘Love You More’ and ‘Do You Feel What I Feel’, the energy on stage was electrified by their isolated and energetic dance routines. In true JLS style, Aston’s trademark back-flips had fans screaming for more during their performance of ‘Beat Again’.
Four lucky girls were picked out of the audience to appear on stage with the band. It’s an understatement to say they were completely star-struck.
The band showed off their voices with an acoustic medley of hits such as ‘Take a Chance On Me’, ‘Hold Me Down’ and ‘Proud’. But it wasn’t long before they had the crowd back on their feet for covers ‘Umberella’ and crowd favourite ‘Treasure’.
After performing ‘She Makes Me Wanna’, the crowd were left chanting and screaming for more. JLS re-entered from underneath the extended stage that lead out into the audience to sing Boys To Men favourite ‘End of the Road’. Quite appropriate for their last tour. Like gentlemen they said an emotional thank you to their fans for their support, before finishing with old favourite ‘Everybody In Love’.
This may be the ‘Goodbye Tour’, however I have a feeling that this is not the last we have seen from these truly talented entertainers.
