The Grammy nominated and platinum-selling artists, Jonas Brothers, today announced United Kingdom cities and dates for the upcoming The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009. The tour, which calls in at LG Arena, Birmingham on Tuesday 17 November will take the band to three continents, and feature new music from the Monday 15 June release of Lines, Vines And Trying Times, their upcoming album on Hollywood Records/Universal Music.

The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 will stop in Europe for three dates in June and then return for a full continental tour in October and November of 2009 including several dates in the United Kingdom. In North America, the band have sold a staggering 850,000 tickets to their shows across the United States and Canada. Along with their European dates, the Jonas Brothers will also visit Latin America where shows in Mexico and Chile are already sold out. The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 is produced by Live Nation.

The Jonas Brothers will first preview their new album for European fans at three sold-out performances on Saturday 13 June (Madrid, Spain), Sunday 14 June (Paris, France) and Monday 15 June (London, England). Their London show, which sold out in just 24 hours, will be held at Wembley Arena. The band will then embark on 51-date North American tour including five sold-out shows in the New York City area, two sold-out shows in Los Angeles and even more sold-out dates in Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Edmonton Alberta. Jonas Brothers will return to the United Kingdom on Tuesday 17 November for their date in Birmingham.

“We’ve played in the UK a few times before and the response from our fans is always incredible,” says Joe Jonas. “This is our first headlining tour of the country and we’re going to bring everything we’ve got to give our fans a concert they won’t forget.”

All new cities, dates and venues for the upcoming continental tour of Europe will be announced soon along with special guests and opening acts.

Hollywood Records/Universal Music recording artist and star of the Disney Channel’s Original Television Movie, Camp Rock, and Original Television Series, Sonny With A Chance, Demi Lovato, will be the opening artist for all three European shows in June.
The Jonas Brothers became a pop music phenomenon in 2008 with the release of Jonas Brothers and A Little Bit Longer that are both gold-certified in the UK and platinum-certified in the United States. In addition, their two tours in the United States earned the band a spot among the top selling tours of the year. They also won an American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist and were recently nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Artist Category. The band won Best New Artist at the NRJ Music Awards in France and took home the Best International Pop Artist awards at the MTV Latin America Video Music Awards. They also earned nominations for Best New Act and Best Act Ever at the MTV Europe Awards and three nominations at the TMF Awards in Belgium.
